Mind. Body. Saltwater. YOLO Retreat Recap
It is hard to find the proper words and to condense them down into few enough to describe what happened over the course of a week that we spent with 15 women in a dreamy lake front retreat house. When we booked it six months ago, it was with a simple vision and a firm faith in knowing we were meant to bring together a group of people who were all chasing joy & sincere connection. What happened over the course of 7 days was beyond what we could have hoped for.
Over the course of two retreats; one 4-night and one 3-night, we nourished our bodies and minds in all the ways. We started our days at sunrise with coffee by the pool and serene morning paddles from Lake Stallworth to the Gulf. We had organic, healthy, delicious homemade breakfast followed by an in house workshop led by friends within the community who have had an impact on us. Midday was for YOLO ebike rides, floating in the pool, journaling, napping, or jumping back on a paddleboard for beach time. Evenings were filled with professional photoshoots, sound healing experiences, live music, a bonfire, and another incredible meal made with love by Kathy.
The women who attended said yes before we even knew exactly what we were offering them. We all came together with little expectation and left with hearts wide open. Turns out we are all chasing joy. We all have a personal formula to get there and a toolbox that when filled with the proper tools and used regularly we can stay there. This weekend we all explored a plethora of tools and we all added a few to our formula. When you put a bunch of people together who are all collectively raising a vibration way up, magic happens. So. Much. Magic.
We are forever grateful to the women who took a risk on us and made this dream of ours so much more beautiful than we ever could have dreamt up on our own. Huge thank you to YOLO for providing all of the eBikes and paddleboards and for the swag & coffee. It was a sea of YOLO hats every morning on the water! Thank you to NaturBaker for donating tasty treats. Also to Noli South for making the BEST Kombucha that the girls all fell in love with and for donating the CBD we pumped in daily. And so grateful for Sunrise Coffee for the free coffees. And last, thank you to the fabulous locals who helped us out with workshops and music and photos and for being such a huge source of light in our lives; Tess Farmer, Kelly Noelle, Sarah Crowder, Chrisnelle Joie, Reese Branton, Kiana Tate, Leah Vanhoose, Kyle @ Momma Bear.
Our hearts are still bursting, and there is still so magic to make. Stay tuned….
